Jack and I recently sent out our first round of alpha invites to friends and family. Our hope is to get feedback from alpha tester to learn which aspects of the site we should focus on over the next few months. If you did not receive an alpha invite, be sure to visit Scribnia.com and enter your email address and we will be sure to send you an invite.

We look forward to hearing what our alpha testers think and in expanding Scribnia over the next few months.

Scribnia is going to DreamIt

We have been lucky enough to be accepted into the DreamIt Ventures accelerator program.  We’re thrilled.  Russ and I made it a goal to get into an accelerator for this summer, and the DreamIt program looks excellent.  So we’ll be working out of Boston for the next two months, and then we’re moving to Philidelphia (the DreamIt HQ) for the summer.

ablock_logo1Any startup is helped by acceptance into a program like DreamIt, but we think Scribnia is going to benefit even more than most comapnies.  Why?  Scribnia relies on a network effect.  Our site will only be interesting if we can get lots of users.  There are positive externalities associated with new users signing up–every additional user makes Scribnia more valuable for everyone who has already signed up.   And acceptance into DreamIt will help us get our name out there.  It legitimizes us and makes PR a lot easier, thereby also making user acquisition easier.

Personally, I’m particularly looking forward to working in DreamIt’s collaborative space with nine other startups.  Should be an energy-charged environment that makes coding a lot of fun.

Welcome to Scribnia!

Welcome to the official Scribnia blog.  We created the blog so we can let our users know about new Scribnia features and share our entrepreneurial experiences.  Scribnia is currently in private alpha but we plan on launching to a wider audience over the upcoming months. If you would like to be an alpha tester please visit Scribnia.com and enter your name on our email list.

Thank you for visiting our blog!
